As expected, Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown will miss Sunday night’s game against the Packers at Lambeau Field.
On Saturday, the Cowboys announced that Overshown, who has a hamstring injury, did not make the trip to Green Bay.
Overshown has not played since Week 1. He was listed as questionable; coach Brian Schottenheimer described Overshown as a “long shot” to play. (That would have made it questionable, but teams don’t use that designation nearly as often as they should.)
Also questionable was cornerback Joey Porter Jr., with an ankle injury. He was not demoted to “out”, meaning he traveled with the team.
Porter played just days after arriving in Dallas, but he missed what would have been his second game due to a sudden illness.
The Cowboys also elevated cornerback Derion Kendrick and safety Juanyeh Thomas from the practice squad. Kendrick becomes insurance, in case Porter can’t play.
