Rhodes teased the potential turn WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event! as he lined up to hit his former mentor Orton as he lay bloodied in the ring. But instead of connecting with the vicious punch, Rhodes eventually showed mercy.
“I think the edge is there, but I don’t think it’s what some people want it to be sometimes,” Theil said. “But you never know what’s going to happen. I certainly don’t know, but we are enjoying his amazing success.”
Rhodes, a former WWE Undisputed Champion, has been adamantly opposed to a potentially dramatic character change for several years. By WrestleMania 42, he changed his tune and announced that it is now open to all creative avenues.
