Henry Cejudo heads to Misfits Boxing next week where he will face the actor who plays Ashtray from Euphoria.
Yes, you read that right. “Triple C,” an Olympic gold medalist and two-time UFC champion, agreed to a last-minute change in his September 26 bout for the UK influencer promotion. Cejudo was initially set Kick to face the streamer Dean The Great. She now faces off against Wanna Walton, whose credits include HBO’s Euphoria and The Umbrella Academy.
Walton is 3-0-1 in boxing, with three fights coming under Jake Paul’s MVP promotions. According to MVP co-head Nakisa Bidarian, Misfits offered “significant financial collateral” for Walton to fight Cejudo, and MVP expects Wanna to show Henry what’s in the ring.
“I knew all along that Dean The Bitch would back off, so I’m not surprised he did,” Cejudo said in a press release announcing the change. “But now I have a new opponent who thinks he’s a fighter, but Wanna play with another robot when I’m done with him.”
Cejudo’s wrestling is still sharp, but we’ll see how his boxing skills hold up against a much younger opponent in Walton. MMA fighters don’t have great achievements when they step into the boxing ring, but it would be pretty embarrassing to lose to a boxing actor.
