The Cavaliers officially signed Jackson Robinson and Noam Jacob on training camp contracts, according to Spot Up Shot’s Paul Garcia (Link to Twitter).
It’s unclear who Cleveland waived to make room for Robinson and Jacobs, as the team’s roster is full. But there are the most likely candidates for release Pictures of Richmond, Zach Austin, Rashawn Agee and Curtis Joneseach of which signed non-guaranteed camp deal with the Cavs in late September.
Robinson played five collegiate seasons for Texas, Arkansas, BYU and Kentucky from 2020-25. The 6-foot-7 guard/forward signed an Exhibit 10 deal with Cleveland after going undrafted in 2025, waived it before starting to earn play-by-play bonuses with the Cavs’ G League affiliate in 2025-26, and spent his first professional season with the Cleveland Charge.
After struggling during last year’s NBAGL tip-off tournament, Robinson had a decent regular season with the Charge. In 33 regular season contests, the 23-year-old averaged 10.0 points and 2.7 rebounds in 21.0 minutes per game while shooting 37.3% from three-point range.
Jacob, who turns 22 later this month, went undrafted in June. The Israeli-Danish point guard spent last season in Belgium with Oostende, averaging 17.2 ppg, 6.0 ppg, 3.9 ppg and 1.1 ppg on .454/.370/.772 shooting in 46 games (25.6 ppg).
Jacob according to reports committed to play college basketball at Utah during the summer. It’s possible he could instead head to the G League to play for the Charge in 2026/27.
