Cardinals left tackle Paris Johnson out for season with torn biceps

The Cowboys have lost their starting left tackle for the season.

Paris Johnson suffered a torn biceps and will miss the rest of the season, coach Mike LaFleur announced today.

“I feel for him, of course,” LaFleur said. “It’s bad. It’s bad for him, first of all, it’s bad for the Arizona Cardinals, our offense, this team. But NFL football, here we are in October, the show goes on.”

Johnson stayed in and played through the injury Sunday against the Giants, but testing today revealed it was significant.

The Cardinals selected Johnson with the sixth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and he has been their starting left tackle ever since. The Cardinals picked up Johnson’s fifth-year option, and he is due a $19.7 million guaranteed salary in 2027.
