Allen (27-7) is the headliner for Saturday
Ultimate Fighting Championship card against Duncan (15-2) at Meta Apex in Las Vegas. The American will be hoping to get the back of his English opponent, who will be competing in his first UFC main event at
UFC Vegas 122.
Christian Leroy Duncan faces his first five-round UFC main event as Brendan Allen targets sustained pressure
Allen is on a three-game winning streak and welcomes the chance to extend it against an aggressive opponent.
“I love guys who want to come in for the kill,” Allen said in a pre-fight interview. “But the question with him is, are you willing to be killed? I am. I’m willing to be killed. That’s how I fight. That’s all I know. When those lights come on and they say, ‘Are you ready?’ Are you ready?” That’s all I know to do is just go and try to kill.
Duncan is riding a five-game winning streak, but has never reached the fourth round in his professional career. Allen, who has competed in several five-round bouts, believes the momentum will swing in his favor as the fight progresses.
“But I build as the fight goes and he doesn’t build as the fight goes,” Allen added.
“I know he wants to do harm… I am willing to kill or be killed.” Brendan Allen (@BrendanAllenMMA) thrives in the main event spotlight and plans to bring the violence when he starts Christian Leroy Duncan at #UFCVegas122. Fight By Fight preview ➡️ https://t.co/QO9ltlM6Xr https://t.co/j0nE3WVrGD
