Last week, Raiders coach Klint Kubiak told reporters he was optimistic about returning Ashton Jeanty’s potential availability for the club’s season opener.
Jeanty is taking steps in the right direction.
Kubiak told reporters at his press conference that Jeanty is expected to train on Wednesday. Kubiak, however, did not disclose Jeanty’s anticipated level of participation.
Jeanty suffered an ankle injury during training on August 23. While the injury initially looked like it might keep Jeanty out for an extended period, he was later diagnosed with a sprain.
The first injury report of the week in Las Vegas will be released later Wednesday, which will reveal whether Jeanty was a full or limited participant.
