Here is the full list of International broadcasters of the Premier League.

Arsenal v Hull City preview

Arsenal are top of the Premier League and have the chance to go six points clear on Saturday afternoon, at least for a few hours. Mikel Arteta’s champions welcome newly promoted Hull City to the Emirates after a fantastic week.

Last Sunday’s 1-0 win at Anfield was a statement. Kai Havertz headed home a low cross from Declan Rice in the 16th minute, and Arsenal protected that lead for the rest of the afternoon. The goal also made Havertz the highest scoring German player in Premier League history. Arsenal made the most of Manchester City’s home defeat to Brighton the day before, returning to the top of the table.

They followed it up with a 2-1 win at Slavia Prague on Wednesday. Viktor Gyökeres scored one and set up Noni Madueke for the other, and the win moved Arsenal to third in the Champions League table.

Arsenal have won eight of their nine league games, and have done so with a return to what they do best: immense defensive solidity. They have 24 points and could be six ahead of City ahead of the game at Nottingham Forest later on Saturday.

Hull has been one of the surprise packages of the season. Sergej Jakirović’s side reached the play-offs and started their campaign with back-to-back wins against Manchester United and Coventry City. They are now winless in seven league games but have been hard to beat, with five draws, and they sit 11th with 11 points.

It’s not just about defending either. Hull have scored 11 goals in the League, the same as Liverpool and just three less than Arsenal. But they will likely spend long spells without the ball – their average possession of 31.4% is among the lowest in the division and they are averaging just 3.4 shots on target per game.

History is very much on Arsenal’s side. They have won 15 of their 18 meetings with Hull since 1977, with Hull’s only win coming at the Emirates in 2008, a 2-1 win in the Premier League.

Premier League table

  • position 1, 2, 3, 4: Promotion – Champions League (League stage)

  • position 5: Promotion – Europa League (League phase)

  • position 18, 19, 20: Relegation – Championship

Arsenal v Hull City team news

William Saliba is playing his first minutes of the season. The Frenchman has missed the entire campaign so far with a long-term back injury which was aggravated at the World Cup, but was an unused substitute in Prague and is expected to return to the matchday squad. Arteta revealed that Saliba played a game behind closed doors last week, so his return should not be ruled out.

Bukayo Saka (quad) remains sidelined, Max Dowman is suspended and Ezri Konsa is a doubt.

Havertz is expected to start up front ahead of Gyökeres, despite the Swede’s goal and assist in Prague.

Hull have a long injury list. Jack Butland, Eliot Matazo, Darko Gyabi, Charlie Hughes, Ilyas Ansah and Matt Targett are expected to miss out, while Matt Crooks is suspended.

Oli McBurnie will lead the line for the Tigers, with Mohamed Belloumi their key creative threat.

Expected lineups for Arsenal vs Hull City

Arsenal: Stripe; Timber, Consa, Gabriel, Calafiori; Rice, Guimarães; Madueke, Ødegaard, Tzolis; havertz

Helmet: Tzolakis; Joyle, Egan, Mandy, Ajayi, Giles; Belloumi, Slater, Iroegbunam, Stroud; McBurnie

Arsenal v Hull City recent form and stats

  • Arsenal didn’t concede a single shot on target against Liverpool last Sunday
  • Arsenal’s total of 24 points after nine games is only bettered by the 2004-05 and 2007-08 teams (25 each) in the post-1992 era
  • Arsenal are the only team in the Premier League to have a 100% home record
  • No top-flight team has drawn more games than Hull (five)

Prediction Arsenal – Hull City

This should be routine for Arsenal. Having rotated the team for the midweek win in Prague, the Gunners will be back to full strength and should be too good for the Tigers.
