Arsenal v Hull City: Confirmed team news and line-ups for clash in North London

arsenal return to the Emirates Stadium this afternoon with the intention of making it five in a row Premier League win when they host Hull City.

Mikel Arteta’s side have enjoyed an excellent start to their title defense, winning eight of their first nine league games to go three points clear. Manchester City at the top of the table.

The Gunners secured an impressive 1-0 win at Liverpool last weekend, with Kai Havertz scoring the only goal at Anfield to become the German’s highest-scoring player in Premier League history.

He followed that up with a 2-1 Champions League win over Slavia Prague on Wednesday, with Viktor Gyokeres scoring once and setting up Noni Madueke for the other.

Arsenal could move six points clear of City with another win this afternoon, before their title rivals face Nottingham Forest later in the day.

Meanwhile, Hull have found life challenging in the Premier League after an encouraging start under Sergej Jakirovic.

The Tigers won their first two league games against Manchester United and Coventry, but have gone seven games without a win since then.

Five draws during that run have helped Hull stay 11th in the table with 11 points, although they were held to a 2-2 draw by also-promoted Ipswich last weekend.
