Volkanovski (28-4) has his defense planned
Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight title vs
Movsar Evloev (20-0) at
UFC 333 On October 24 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The Australian champion believes he can produce a career-best performance against the undefeated Russian.
Alexander Volkanovski doubts whether Movsar Evloev can outlast him in 25 minutes at UFC 333
Evloev has won all 10 of his UFC bouts by decision, but Volkanovski doubts the challenger can outlast him in five rounds. “The Big One” believes that Evloev should hit him with a decisive blow to win.
“Trying to beat me for 25 minutes, I don’t see it,” Volkanovski told MMA Junkie. “I believe the only chance these guys have is to catch me. . . . If he thinks he can beat me by decision or he thinks he can get over me, I’m sure he’ll try and we’ll see. I’m just very confident in my skills and the fighter that I am. . . . I think I can do it in a pretty wild way. I believe I can do it if that’s the way it is.” Volk, what have we ever seen?”
Volkanovski won the title first Max Holloway in 2019 and defended it five times before losing
Ilia Topuria in 2024. He claimed the vacated championship
Diego Lopes last year after moving up to lightweight, Topuria defended it in a rematch in January.
