Toohey, a 6’7″ forward from Australia, was signed to a two-way contract last September but did not appear in any NBA games with a left knee injury. He had two stints with the G League’s Santa Cruz Warriors before being drafted refused in early December, as Golden State added Malevy Leon by bilateral agreement. Toohey was part of the Warriors Summer League team this year.
Toohey, who was selected with the 52nd pick, played two years with the Sydney Kings before coming to the NBA. In 2025, he received the NBL’s Next Generation Award.
The “Appendix 10” contract allows Toohey to earn a bonus of up to $91,000 on top of his NBAGL base salary if he spends at least 60 days in Santa Cruz.
