It The tension between Will Osprey and Calum Newman didn’t go away After Newman, Franzo Akira and HENARE rolled over Ospreay All In:. At Dynamite, it was announced that Ospreay, Akira and Andrade El Idolo would face John Moxley, PAC and Gabe Kidd next week. Newman claimed on post-match commentary in Japan that Akira didn’t tell him he was going to AEW. He thinks Akira’s loyalty lies with Ospreay and asks who else is going to leave him to join Ospreay.
Osprey responded on X (formerly known as Twitter) asking why that was because Newman’s guys are his guys and vice versa. “You’re making it sound like a turf war when in reality we’re spreading a faction that I started through multiple promotions. Don’t hold back on the progress, little brother! You won’t like the result, @PrinceofpaceCN.”

Newman’s only response was to stop calling himself little brother. Ospreay responded by asking him if the “little f***” was better. Newman told Ospreay that he would remember that when Ospreay responded that he would listen less if he stopped acting like that.

El Idolo responded to Newman about Akira not telling him about his AEW match. He admitted that Newman was the one who invited him to join the United Empire and reminded him that he would eventually have to face Osprey as the number one contender. “I know you have problems with him. But I’m still waiting for my invitation to meet again.” Newman informed him that he was always welcome and did not need an invitation.

Newman is on The Road to Destruction show in NJPW where he is going to go one on one. Former United Empire member Jeff Cobb on September 27. That show comes a day after Ospreay defends the World Men’s Championship against Moxley at All Out.
