“Japan is my second home, so I want to win the belt in front of the New Japan fans and that’s the biggest stage I deserve. So of course I’m aiming for the (Tokyo) dome. In my time, Okada was very strong, and in order to win the belt, I had no choice but to become a very strong, versatile champion. He lacks experience, I feel like he’s afraid of failing on the world stage, so maybe that’s why he runs away from my challenge.
NJPW’s biggest show of the year, Wrestle Kingdom 21, will once again take place at the Tokyo Dome on January 4th, a venue where Omega has wrestled many times and even defended the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 13. “There will be many fighters who want to beat Tsuji, but when I look at Ryogoku, I feel that few really admire or respect him. Everyone seems to be waiting their turn. But if I become the champion, everyone will understand that winning will not be easy, so my motivation will increase and I can train harder. At the moment, Tsuji is my champion who can even go one step further.”
