It never seems easier for AEW host Jim Ross. Just two months ago, the legendary wrestling announcer underwent brain surgery and although the procedure was successfulRoss is not out of the woods. On “Grilling JR” Ross revealed that the shunt placed in his brain during surgery was causing him problems. Additionally, a recent scan revealed that Ross may also be dealing with another possible cancer problem along with several biopsies Ross underwent surgery after surgery.
“I saw something on my kidney,” Ross said. “So we do a lot of testing. I get…my shunts are bothering me in my brain. So I’m having a scan tomorrow and taking it back to my neurosurgeon to tell me what the hell is wrong. It might need to be tweaked, that’s my opinion.”
Detailing the problem with her shunt, Ross revealed that it gives her “bubble headaches” that keep her from sleeping. The pain was so intense that Ross could only compare it to the pain one gets from a migraine. Both problems left Ross feeling a bit stressed, especially since this isn’t the first time Ross’ shunt has been tried to be fixed.
“I’ve adjusted mine three times,” Ross said. “So it’s not a new situation. But at some point I have to deal with sleep. And I feel very tired. My oncologist is sending me to a specialist in Oklahoma City to find a small spot on my kidney, but they are not sure if it is cancer or not. So this has been a stressful week. It really happened.”
