Former WWE star Kairi is reportedly being courted by a number of companies, including AEW.
Kairi ended her second run in WWE in April, last losing alongside Asuka to Rhea Ripley and Iyo Skye on “WWE Raw” and was released four days later, rejoining 2023. Its original run ran from 2016-2021.
Fighting Select reports that a number of companies, including AEW, are interested. The report states that there have been talks between AEW and Kairi, though a deal has yet to be finalized. Some expected him to appear on All In, but it was thought unlikely that he would have signed on in time for the event at any stage, and thus was never involved in the show creatively.
There is also interest outside of AEW and North America, though sources familiar with the situation have indicated that he will not find a home in Rossi Ogawa’s Marigold. The report does not mention STARDOM, where he spent two stints from 2011 to 2017 and 2022 to 2023. She reigned as the World of Stardom Champion in 2015 and the inaugural IWGP Women’s Champion from 2022 to 2023.
Back in July he has been reported to be interested from companies for “non-contractual” phenomena.
Kairi is represented by Barry Bloom, joining popular AEW stars Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks, Chris Jericho, Jim Ross, Josh Alexander and Will Osprey.
