While he likes to take credit for being the “Fleatest Fly of All Time,” AEW star Kevin Knight had a little help from some of his inspirations to get there. While part of his style pays homage to those who came before him in pro wrestling, the former TNT champion also credits some of the NFL’s top stars as his driving force.
“Mr. Perfect, The Rock, Jeff Hardy. I like to weave some Deion Sanders in there. I like to throw Cam Newton in there, you know, for promos. It’s a lot of different things that I like to throw in there. after officially signing with AEW in March 2025, Knight took home the gold, starting with two runs at the AEW World Trios Championship before striking out on his own to claim the TNT Championship. Losing his title to Darby Allyn in their Falls Count Anywhere contest All in London Knight has been trying to bounce back to any and all gold he can get his hands on this past month.
