Thea Hale will challenge Zaria for the WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship next week.
Hale was looking to reclaim the North American title after losing it to Izzy Dame just 21 days after her first run in January, and this week teamed up with new AAA Reina de Reinas Champion La Catalina along with current titleholder NXT Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan.
Hale completed the win for his team by pinning the North American Champion, thus earning himself the singles title at next week’s show.
Zaria is 106 days into his title reign, dethroning Tatum Paxley in June. combining the North American title with the Women’s Speedway Championship at Heatwavecompleting his fourth defense in the process. He and Hale have wrestled only one singles match before, the latter winning by forfeit on the night.
They first shared the ring at last year’s Stand & Deliver in a ladder match for the vacant North American title, later sharing a loss as Sol Ruka went on to claim it.
