At the Men’s Royal Rumble last January, Jevon Evans had the opportunity to be in the same ring as Brock Lesnar, and when “The Beast” entered the ring at #22, he delivered the F-5 to the young star. The Royal Rumble was likely the one and only time Evans would take on the F-5 Lesnar retires from professional wrestling last August, but during a recent interview “Cheap Heat” “The Young OG” explained that the graduation move was easier to make than he expected.
“I think I was confident, but also nervous because I’ve never taken an F-5 before. But I was like you, I’ve seen him do this move so many times that growing up, I got it,” he said. “It’s pretty clean. He gets you up there and you’re done. Yes, just swim.”
Unlike the F-5, according to Evans, Lesnar’s suplex was much harder to pull off, explaining that listening to a backstage conversation on how to properly execute the move saved him from serious injury.
“I remember someone was talking about it before the show, they were saying, “Hey, if Brock gets in the ring, he suplexes you, he’s going to drop you. Don’t jump”… Just let him throw you.” he shared. “He comes in, starts ravishing everyone. I see him. I’m like, let’s see if I can do something. Just as I try to swing, he grabs me from behind. I say: “Oh no, a suplex!” I say, “I don’t fly.” But I’m telling you, if I jumped, I’d probably die.”
Evans named Lesnar as one of them last month the strongest professional wrestlers he’s ever been in the ring with but also admitted that his “WWE NXT” rival Oba Femi is just as powerful.
