Premier League results today: Reports and scores from Aston Villa vs Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth vs Brentford and Crystal Palace vs Ipswich Town

Igor Jesus condemned Aston Villa to their third loss in four Premier League games as he gave his late strike Nottingham Forest a 2-1 home win, his first win under Oliver Glasner.

After a goalless first half, the game quickly erupted after the second half restart when Liam Delap broke the deadlock with his first goal for Forest, beating Zion Suzuki to find the bottom left corner from 20 yards.

Dan Ndoye headed home from close range after missing a clear chance to make it 2-0, and Delap again had the ball in the net, only to see the effort ruled out for offside.

It looked like Forest would live to rue those missed chances when Alysson scored Villa’s first league goal of the season from John McGinn’s cross.

But there was a sting in the tail in the 88th minute with Villa down by 10 after Ian Maatsen limped off with the home side having made their five substitutions.

Morgan Gibbs-White flicked a Daniel Munoz cut into the path of Jesus, who headed home from six yards to seal the points.

Villa are second bottom with just one point from four games, while Forest are in a quartet of teams with five points.

Flemming the hero as Ipswich wins the thriller

While Hull City made more headlines by maintaining their remarkable unbeaten start with a 2-2 draw at Chelseafellow newly promoted Ipswich Town moved into the top half by emerging victorious from an incredible game against Crystal Palace, winning 3-2 at Selhurst Park.

Palace, who picked up their first League win of the season at Fulham last week, took the lead in the 14th minute when Anan Khalaili scored his first goal for the club, firing home from Daichi Kamada’s pass.

Nine minutes later, Ipswich equalized when Emersonn headed home a simple Leif Davis left-footed cross to restore parity.

Palace’s problems increased when they were reduced to 10 men when Axel Disasi saw red for a late, high tackle on Jack Clarke.

The Tractor Boys took advantage when Emersonn and Davis swapped roles, the Brazilian taking the left-back to head home at the back post.

However, Palace looked to have salvaged a share of the spoils 15 minutes from time when Jorgen Strand Larsen fired home on the turn.

Khalaili spurned a chance for his second as Palace looked to complete the turnaround, and the Eagles paid for their blunder when Zian Flemming slotted home the rebound after Walter Benitez had held up Davis’ header. Flemming’s first goal since joining from Burnley moved Ipswich up to seventh in the table.

Bournemouth let another lead slip away

Bournemouth are still waiting for a first league win under Marco Rose as they missed another winning chance in a 2-2 draw with Brentford.

Kevin Schade gave Brentford the lead on the south coast with a header from Yehor Yarmoliuk’s cross after a defensive error by Adrien Truffert.

Rayan inexplicably missed from six yards as Bournemouth looked for an equaliser, which came through a left-footed drive from Justin Kluivert.

The Cherries completed the turnaround seven minutes into the second half when Marcus Tavernier capped a well-worked move into the far corner.

But Bournemouth hit the mark four minutes later, Schade restoring parity with a rebound over Djordje Petrovic’s head after the keeper had flicked the ball straight to the side.

Bournemouth have led all four Premier League games this season without winning any of them. They are 15th with three points from four games, while an impressive start by Brentford sees them fifth with six points.
