Fabian Eichner is headed to Bound for Glory in October after winning his TNA X-Division Championship qualifying match against Rohit Raju on this week’s episode. “TNA influence”.
The former WWE star looked good after hitting a spinning back suplex on Raju. However, Raju, the former X-Division champion, refused to let Eichner stay in control in the early stages, sending his opponent tail-first into a pair of outside steel steps. Later in the match, Raju escapes and shocks Eichner with a jumping knee strike for a one count. Raju moves to a high-rent district, Eichner moves out of the way. Eichner takes out Raju with a heavy clothesline followed by his Hasta la Vista finisher for the win. Aichner is joining now KC Navarro as part of an upcoming six-way match to determine who will become the new X-Division Champion.
Last month at Lockdown, Leon Slater became a two-time X-Division Champion against Cedric Alexander. However, “The Youngest in Charge” brought out his “Option C” spot against TNA World Champion Nick Nemeth, which allows any X-Division Champion to relinquish their title and challenge for the World Championship. Slater and Nemeth will go head-to-head at Bound for Glory on Sunday, October 11 in Tampa, Florida.
