Last night, Stephen Borden made his AEW Dynamite in-ring debut after some dark matches throughout the year. Paying tribute to his father Sting and tagging with Darby AllynBorden seems to have already charmed a lot of fans, and expectations for his future are high.
The legendary Jim Ross saw Sting rise in the industry and his “Grilling JRpodcast, he reviewed Sting’s son’s progress so far, reminiscing about Sting’s early years. Ross recalled that compared to his former partner, the late Ultimate Warrior, he said The Icon was a quick learner and listened to feedback. He then turned his attention to Stephen’s recent stint in AEW.
“There’s one shot in particular where Stephen Borden is climbing a ladder… He looks like his fatherRoss reminisced about Steven and Sting’s moment together at AEW All In. in London. A former D1 athlete, he has a great frame to pack on and define more pounds. He’s going to be a player, there’s no doubt in my mind he’s going to be a player.” Furthermore, Ross claimed that Stephen could one day become one of the main events of a weekly wrestling television show and said that he has been impressed with Stephen so far.
