After all, Hokit might be the best UFC heavyweight since Cain Velasquez. That’s according to Gane’s coach Fernand Lopez, who continues to marvel at Hokit’s ability to seamlessly transition between striking and grappling, leading “The Incredible Hoki” to a perfect 10-0 record.
“He’s not just another heavyweight who comes to beat people, he’s got something,” Lopez said MMA junkie. “I think it’s been a while since Cain Velasquez that we’ve had a wrestler who can push you, make you think, go to wrestle, if it doesn’t work out, go back to striking, he doesn’t just rely on wrestling. He can knock you out or he can knock you out by beating you. Of course he doesn’t do wrestling justice. It’s well deserved for him and I think he’s a big challenge for Ciryl.
