Charley Hull is one of the best players in women’s golf. But he might be the best personality in all of pro golf.
The three-time LPGA winner has become a favorite among golf fans for her candid nature, idiosyncratic habits, constant jokes and epic stories of his life and career.
This week she shared a doozy for her too, and one that is a must-read for her fans.
In an interview with Golf week Adam SchupakHull revealed a wild story of a drunken night in Ibiza where he woke up with his first tattoo, the one that almost went on his forehead.

In her extensive conversation with SchupakHull broached the subject of tattoos innocently enough, admitting, “I have three tattoos.”
The first ink, however, came after a 17-year-old Hull had a drunken night of partying with a friend in Ibiza. On the way back to the hotel, as Hull tied Schupak, the future golf pro decided he wanted to get his first tattoo…on his forehead.
“I had one on my foot. I got drunk when I was in Ibiza when I was 17. Me and my friend James went out partying. I was coming back from the club, and I thought it would be a great idea to get a tattoo on my head, because me and my best mate, James, our favorite thing we always said to each other was ‘Stay tight,'” explained Hull.
Fortunately, Hull’s friend James thought better of it and convinced her to drop the face tattoo idea.
“He didn’t let me put it on my forehead. Instead, I had it on my foot, and he said, ‘Hold on.'” He has a match on his arm, Hull said.
But it doesn’t end there. Turns out Hull was having so much fun that night he didn’t remember getting the tattoo. James had to break the news to her the next morning.
“We went back to the hotel, woke up in the morning hanging, and I went to James, “Bloody hell, I was that drunk last night? I came back with a plastic bag on my foot.” He said, “No, Charley. It’s the packaging after you get your tattoo,” Hull shared. “I was like, ‘What? I got a tattoo?’ He said: “Yes, you were trying to put it on your forehead and we had to stop there.”
Hull also shared that his second tattoo was also unpleasant. It’s her ex-husband’s name on the wrist, which she said she “tried to get rid of.” Fortunately, his third tattoo is a keeper, at least for now. She and her fellow Englishmen from Georgia Hall have lightning bolts tattoos.
