AEW’s Chris Jericho isn’t worried about not being a part of the WWE Hall of Fame.
Jericho is certainly a sure candidate for the WWE Hall of Fame, but his induction may not happen as long as he remains in AEW. The former AEW World Champion said in an interview, “.TMZ’s Inside The Ring“That he’s had enough memorable moments to earn a spot in the Hall of Fame, but understands why he’s not a part of it.
“I mean, I had a great career in WWE once again. It was almost 20 years with a few years off. It’s always been my dream to be in WWE. And have I created enough memorable moments and matches and characters and rivalries and moments to be in the WWE Hall of Fame? Absolutely. That’s all I need, if not, if, if not, I’m on my own. Politics, I understand that too, I’ve been in this business for 36 years,” Jericho said.
He thinks he belongs in his own Hall of Fame and doesn’t need validation from anyone. However, he admitted that he would be happy to be inducted into the AEW Hall of Fame if it ever happens.
“And if I end my career with AEW and the first inductee or the second inductee or the 10th inductee into the AEW Hall of Fame, that’s great too. But I’m in the Hall of Fame in my head and in the head of anybody who appreciates the work I’ve done,” Jericho added. “Like, I’ve had a real blessed life and I’ve had the opportunity to travel the world doing what I’ve always wanted to do and make people happy by doing it or piss people off by doing it, which is the same thing. It’s a Hall of Fame all over the world.”
Jericho previously knocked off the WWE Hall of Famer. claiming that there is no actual physical Hall of Fame and that it didn’t matter much to him.
