Goalkeeper Ronald Koeman Jr, son of the former Netherlands defender and head coach Ronald Koeman scored twice for Eredivisie side Telstar to salvage a point in their league game against Cambuur.
Koeman Jr scored twice from the penalty spot to earn a 2-2 draw with the second spot-kick in the 11th minute of second-half stoppage time.
The 31-year-old goalkeeper is no stranger to finding the back of the net, having previously scored a penalty when he converted the winner against FC Volendam to confirm Telstar’s safety from relegation in May.
In Sunday’s clash, Telstar had a player sent off in the 22nd minute and conceded two second-half goals to pull ahead of Cambuur with less than half an hour to play.
However, the home side were awarded two spot kicks – in the 63rd and 101st minutes – and Koeman duly converted to become the first goalkeeper to score twice in an Eredivisie match.

Koeman Jr’s father Ronald was also known for his goalscoring exploits despite being mainly used as a defender.
He played for clubs such as PSV, Ajax and Barcelona, and was part of the Dutch team that lifted the European Championship in 1988, the only major senior competition the men’s team has won.
As a coach, Koeman was head coach of the Netherlands from 2023 to 2026, resign after the exit of the last 32 of the country at the hands of Morocco in the World Cup this summer.
