2026 NFL, College Football Odds: Best Bets For LSU-Ole Miss, Eagles-Titans

After the Bears and Panthers combined to score 96 points last Sunday, you can imagine how popular these Bears “Overs” will be.

Go numbers — I saw a Friday morning post from John Ewing of BetMGM that said 87% of bettors have “Over” on Bears-Vikings.

Eight-v-seven-percent.

With that, of course, every bone in my body wants to go “Under”.

We know you are here for informed betting and I assure you that I check everything through several handicappers, odds players and betting friends who know what they are doing. Those who do well in this racket know the how, what and why, and that’s always my goal.

Also, this will never be the place for a million picks or five-team matchups. These will always be the bets I like the most and the ones I will bet my money on.

Let’s go to work.

(2026 record: 3-5-1, -2.5 points)

in talked about the Ohio situation earlier this week. I’m told QB1 Nick Poulos, currently listed as questionable, will not play. There is also the issue of QB Matt Vezza getting bumped as well. That line was torn down from South Alabama -4.5 to -7 on Tuesday and, of course, some of the +7 was dropped. I predict Poulos gets sent off tomorrow and this line goes back to -7 or higher. Find a 6.5 and hit it.

Sammy P’s Pick: South Alabama (-6.5)

This Red Raiders team feels panicked. It’s definitely not as strong defensively as it was last season, and now coach Joey McGuire is messing around with more and more Thomas Castellanos at quarterback. That doesn’t give me much faith in starter Will Hammond. Former bookmaker Ed Salmons told me he had Houston +8.5 in the open and has plenty of sharp support all week for the Cougars.

Sammy P’s Pick: Houston (+7.5)

I liked Ole Miss as a house dog before the whole shenanigans with LSU’s injury report. In case you missed it, the Tigers surprisingly listed starting quarterback Sam Leavitt as “questionable” Wednesday night. Ole Miss immediately went from +3 to +1, then back to 3. Now Leavitt is “doubtful,” however most people expect him to play. I still love this Ole Miss offense and I think the Rebels defense is good enough to slow down LSU. I also wouldn’t rule out Lane Kiffin going for two to win the game late.

Sammy P’s Pick: Ole Miss (+3)

I know, I know – Titans stink. But Philadelphia’s offense left a lot to be desired last Sunday afternoon. The Eagles had just 10 first downs against Washington. Ten. This game has all the ingredients to make for an absolute rock fight and I think Robert Salah can put together a solid plan to negate what Jalen Hurts does well. You’re going to hate my guts if Philly goes up 14-0 in the first quarter, but I’m holding my nose and taking seven here.

Sammy P’s Pick: Titans (+7)

If I heard the conversation at the water cooler correctly last week, the Chiefs are good enough to make a playoff run and the Colts are missing the playoffs. Do you overreact? Sure, Patrick Mahomes looked strong in his first game back from a torn ACL and LCL, but 168 of his 184 passing yards came after the catch. This is an absurd statistic. The Colts got blown out by Baltimore, but if they can get Jonathan Taylor going early, they should hang around Sunday night.

Sammy P’s Pick: Colts (+6.5)
