All-star striker Zion Williamson will be sidelined with the New Orleans Pelicans for at least a month on Thursday.
Williamson traveled to Los Angeles earlier this week to meet with Piglet to get the injection.

The Pelicans said in a statement that Williamson, after a consultation and further evaluation by Dr. Richard Ferkel of the Southern California Orthopedic Institute was given a biological injection into the fracture site on Wednesday to stimulate bone healing in his injured foot. He will have another imaging session in four to six weeks and will be limited to low-stress and partial-stress activities for an indefinite period of time during his recovery.
Williamson has yet to play this season after fracturing a foot that summer that required surgery. Last season, Williamson averaged 27.0 points, 7.2 boards, and 3.7 assists en route to his first all-star campaign.
