Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by four wickets to knock out the Indian Premier League (IPL) team led by Virat Kohli in 2021.

In the hunt for a paltry 139 target, the match went all the way to the wire, where the Knight Riders held their nerve and won the competition.

Shubman Gill (26), Venkatesh Iyer (26) and Sunil Narine (26) made valuable contributions to help their team secure a spot in Qualifier 2. Nitsch Rana also chipped with a decisive 23 out of 25 balls.

Previously, the Challengers had scored 138/7 in their allotted 20 overs. captain Virat Kohli Rated best with 39 balls out of 33 using five boundaries.

Except for Kohli, no other batter could stay long enough to make a good contribution. opener Devdutt Padikkal was the second highest scorer for RCB with 21 out of 18 deliveries.

For the Knight Riders, Narine did an excellent bowling to keep RCB below average. Narine amassed four wickets for 21 runs at odds of 4 overs. The Caribbean sent Kohli back, Srikar Bharat (9), Glenn Maxwell (15), and AB de Villiers (11).
