Barcelona midfielder and Spain international Pedri is ready to break the record for Manchester United and Portugal star Bruno Fernandes to play the most games in Europe of the 2020-21 season as Spain face Brazil in the men’s Olympic soccer final in Tokyo 2020 on Saturday.

Pedri, who turned 18 in November 2020, has played every single game at the Tokyo Olympics this year. With his appearance in the semifinals against South Korea, Pedri set Fernandes’ record of playing the most games (72) this season.

As one of the key players in the Spanish U23 team at the Olympics, Pedri is likely to be one of the key players to overtake the Manchester United midfielder’s record.

In the 2020/21 season, Pedri has played a total of 52 games for Barcelona in La Liga, Copa Del Rey, the Spanish Supercup and the Champions League, while he has played 20 games for Spain, including international friendlies, Euro 2020 qualifiers, euros Final 2020 and Olympia 2020.

Bruno Fernandes played 58 games for Manchester United in the Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, Champions League and Europa League last season. He has represented Portugal in 14 international friendly matches, Euro 2020 qualifiers and Euro 2020.
