Taj Gibson has become a permanent fixture in New York after being a key player on and off the pitch for the past two seasons. After joining the freelance agency this summer, it seems he will be staying a little longer.
As first reported by Ian Begley from SNY, Taj Gibson signed a $ 2.7 million one-year deal to return to the Knicks. While he’s not as influential to a player as some of their other signings over the past 24 hours, Gibson is an extremely important part of the rocker as a locker room mentor.
In two seasons with the Knicks, Gibson has started 59 of its 107 games, averaging 5.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per competition. After a disappointing first-round elimination in the last postseason, New York wants to take the next step and have another successful season ahead of them.
