Report: Pulev vs. Dos Santos, Belfort vs. Dawson in Play For February Triller Card

Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos has apparently signed a deal with Triller and will make his debut for the company in early 2022, according to a report from TMZ Sports.

TMZ says this debut is likely to take place in February against heavyweight contender Kubrat Pulev.

Your fight will be played according to the rules of Triller’s new Triad Combat combat system – which arranges MMA fighters against boxers according to a set of rules designed to “level the field”.

Pulev is no stranger to the trill’s triad combat system.

He recently made his debut for trills – destroying another former UFC fighter, Frank Mir, in one round.

Dos Santos (21-9 in MMA) was sacked by the UFC after losing four in a row. In his last fight with the company, he suffered a TKO loss on UFC 256 from Ciryl Gane in December 2020

A few months ago, 37-year-old Dos Santos expressed his desire to get into boxing – and took a giant step in that direction last month by signing a deal with S-Jam Boxing, a management company that runs the careers of boxers like Joe Joyce, Lerrone Richards, Johnny Fisher, Guido Vianello and others.

Also on this map, two former champions will collide in another boxer versus MMA fight.

TMZ reports that 39-year-old former light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson is set to collide with 44-year-old former UFC champion Vitor Belfort, who blew Evander Holyfield away in a single round earlier this year.

Dawson (36-5, 19 KOs), inactive for two years, is much younger than 59-year-old Holyfield, who stepped into the ring after 10 years of inactivity.
