It’s been a tough couple of days for Ryan Benoit.

“Baby Face” not only lost its third fight in a row, but also a unanimous loss to Zarrukh Adashev in the UFC Vegas 33 event last Saturday. That night (July 31, 2021) at APEX in Las Vegas, he also broke his calf head and spent the night in the hospital.

“I would still hunt him if we had more time to scrap!” Benoit wrote on social media. “I broke my calf head (probably early in the fight, when a rocket scientist had to guess). The hospital was very concerned about the swelling and the possible compartment syndrome so they kept me overnight and monitored until tomorrow. Thanks to everyone for the love and support. “

Benoit, 31, dropped to 10-8 when he lost to “The Lion” and has not won any back-to-back fights since making his Octagon debut in late 2013. “Baby Face” is only 3-6 under the UFC banner and has to get something going – in a hurry – if he plans to stay around.
