Patricio Pitbull says he is ready to bring Bellator to return.
2021 was quite a year for the former two-tier champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire, but not really in the best sense of the word.
The former king of the featherweight and lightweight divisions lost his featherweight title after being defeated by AJ McKee in the final round of the Bellator Featherweight Grand Prix. Even though he lost his featherweight title, he still had the lightweight title and many fans thought he would count on that title being defended.
You were wrong.
On October 6, 2021 it was announced thatFreire had given up the title so that his brother Patricky had a chance at the title. He would go on to win the belt and make fans wonder ifFreire would ever go back to MMA.
Now we know the answer.
“Blue gloves. Outsider. Challenger, ”he tweeted in English and Portuguese. “The road to reconstruction begins here. The third featherweight reign begins soon. Let’s set this date @BellatorMMA. “
Freire will be back and he is ready to do whatever it takes to regain his featherweight title.
At the time of writing, Bellator hadn’t announced a new fightFree.
