The Florida Panthers have agreed a new one-year contract in both directions with goalkeeper Sam Montembeault.
The 24-year-old Montembeault played 13 games with the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch in the 2020/21 season, scoring 8-4-1 with 2.86 goals versus average, a save percentage of 0.898 and a shutout.
As Florida’s third pick in the 2015 NHL Draft, Montembeault has a record of 39-48-13 in 104 career AHL competitions with Springfield and Syracuse, with a GAA of 3.17, a save percentage of 0.900, and five shutouts. He took part in the AHL All-Star Classic in 2019.
A native of Arthabaska, Que., Made his NHL debut with the Panthers in 2018/19 and has a record of 9-8-3 (3.20,, 892) in 25 NHL career appearances.
