Nuggets, Aaron Gordon Optimistic On Extension In Close to Future

At the close of trading last season, the Denver Nuggets caused a sensation with the acquisition of Aaron Gordon from Orlando Magic. Not only was he in the back half of his contract, but they paid a heavy price to acquire the striker.

In return for Gordon, Denver traded Gary Harris, RJ Hampton and a future first-round pick to Orlando. This was a move that clearly showed that they wanted him to be part of their core over the long term.

With that in mind, Mike Singer of The Denver Post recently reported that the Nuggets and Gordon share optimism about a potential contract extension with a deal that may be struck in the next few days.

He’s eligible for a four-year extension of $ 88 million, but Singer reports that a contract could run for two or three years at $ 20 to $ 21 million per season.

At the age of 25, Gordon enters the final year of his current $ 80 million four-year contract as a member of the Nuggets.
