Everton wants to “hear offers for Delph”
Fabian Delph last started for Everton in November 2020 and was limited to just 10 appearances in all competitions last season as he battled injuries and strong midfield competition. However, this summer he seems expendable, with his high wages something Everton would like to remove this summer.
Additionally, the 31-year-old has just one year left on his current contract, which means this transfer window represents the Toffees’ last chance to return their investments made at Delph. It seems like they want to do just that, and The Athletic reports:
“Aside from a major U-turn in his fitness and wealth – ???? enough to convince Benitez that Delph can play an important role in his first season as a manager â ???? It remains likely that the club will listen to offers for him this summer. “
The biggest issue for Rafa Benitez and Co. will find a club that is ready to take on his salary.
James Rodriguez not in Benitez’s plans
As 101 reported yesterday, Colombian star James Rodriguez is not believed to be in Rafa Benitez’s plans for the coming season. Rodriguez followed his mentor Carlo Ancelotti to Goodison Park last summer and made an immediate impression at the club.

However, his performance deteriorated after the first few weeks of the season due to a lack of fitness and injury. As a result, he saw his worth to the Everton team decline. Now with a new manager at the helm, his time on Merseyside seems to be over and Benitez wants to put his own stamp on the side of the Toffees.
Rodriguez has already been linked to a move in that window, but it appears that this will be the likely outcome should Everton find a buyer.
Toffees haunt Jorge Sanchez
The news that Everton is persecuting Mexican Olympic star Jorge Sanchez will come bittersweet to Goodison believers. The 23-year-old impressed in Tokyo and helped his team advance to the semi-finals of the competition where they will face Brazil. At 23 he is still young, which will certainly improve him further.

A move from Sanchez and Seamus Coleman’s contract renewal earlier this summer, however, seem like any attempt to close a deal for Euro2020 star Denzel Dumfries, who as join the club from PSV.
