The 26-year-old has told a Goal source that he is for the African champions and not for Amakhosi. will sign
Simba SC winger Luis Miquissone has confirmed he is joining Al Ahly of Egypt rather than the Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa.
The player is a transfer target for the North African team and the South African giants, but as exclusive of gate, he has already personally agreed to sign for the African champions.
The 26-year-old has now discussed why he will go to Egypt and not South Africa.
What was said
Miquissone has been talking about “his upcoming transfer to Al Ahly and he says he’ll seal it in the next week or so,” said a source at Simba who refused to be named gate.
“He says he wants to reunite with Pitso [Mosimane] and according to him, he was promised game time if he signed for them, so that was why his heart switched to Al Ahly rather than Chiefs.
“As we speak, he also said goodbye to his close friends at Simba, telling them he won’t be playing for them in the new season and it seems the deal is as good as sealed.”
Simba signs Miquissone replacement
Five days ago, the African champions tabled an upgraded offer of $ 2 million, which was more than what Amakhosi put forward for the player’s services.
On Monday, gate exclusively reported that the Msimbazi giants gave the winger the green light for talks with the Egyptian giants after the team’s coach, Didier Gomes Da Rosa, approved and the two parties reached an agreement.
A source at Simba who did not want to be named confirmed to gate that Al Ahly had agreed to give the Mozambican player a four-year contract and pay $ 900,000 for his services.
“Simba officials met on Monday to discuss Miquissone’s transfer and the offer made by Al Ahly. I can confirm the player is going to Al Ahly, ”the source told Goal.
“What I know, Al Ahly is going to pay Simba $ 900,000 for his services and they have already negotiated and finalized everything, he should travel to Egypt anytime from now on.”
Simba has already signed Zambian winger Peter Banda, formerly of Nyasa Big Bullets, to replace Miquissone.
