Former UFC featherweight title contender Chad Mendes is about to come out of retirement to throw hands at Bareknuckle and recently jotted down a pen for a multi-fight deal for David Feldman and Co. at BKFC .
“I’ve just signed a huge deal with BKFC and I’m ready to destroy someone in Arizona on October 22nd,” Mendes wrote on social media. “I’m really excited to finally be able to compete in boxing! It was something I’ve always wanted to try and I’m thrilled that it all came together. I felt good and can’t wait to perform for you guys again !! LET US DO THIS!!!!”
Mendes, 36, left MMA after being stopped by Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 232 in late 2018. “Money” has long been considered one of the top featherweights in the game, but ultimately stayed against Jose Aldo and Conor. back McGregor.
“I want to try something different,” Mendes said to Joe Rogan. “I think we’re going to throw some bareknuckles in there, brother – just mix it up and go really crazy. It’s something that’s been in the works for probably a year. “

An opponent for his debut on October 22nd is not yet known.
