Liverpool tie down Alisson to long run deal

Alisson’s previous Liverpool career

Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson has revolutionized Liverpool’s defense since joining the club from Roma in 2018. Along with the colossal figure of Virgil Van Dijk, he helped create a sense of invincibility on Merseyside as they reached the Champions League final in its first season. beating Tottenham for the sixth time to win the trophy.

A year later he was an integral part of winning the first Premier League title from Liverpool, with which the club remained unbeaten until the end of February (a total of 27 league games).

New deal a fair reward

As a result, it is not surprising that the Brazilian goalkeeper became the next Liverpool player to be offered a new contract by Jurgen Klopp and Co.

Speaking to, Alisson said:

“I don’t think I wasted too much time thinking about it. It’s something we’ve built over the past three years, the confidence, the confidence I have in the club and the club in myself.

“Me and my family, we are really happy here. My children live in England, in another country, but that’s how they grow up. So we are really happy. I am really happy that I can continue my work here and that I am doing a good job here. So I’m very happy about this decision – it’s not difficult for me. “

Liverpool may not have announced the length of the new contract themselves, but it is thought run until 2027.

Alisson’s announcement comes just 24 hours after the announcement that his Brazilian international Fabinho has also extended his contract with Merseyside and ties the midfielder to the club by 2026.

Will the Reds turn their attention to the additions for the rest of the window as the future of two important parts of the Liverpool team is now tied to long-term agreements?
