Steelers: 3 players are fighting for their jobs this preseason
The Las Vegas Raiders are said to be bringing KJ Wright to visit and it would be hard for Seahawks fans to accept if he signs there.
Somehow veteran linebacker KJ Wright is still on the open market. The tackle machine has not (yet) been able to agree on a new deal with the Seattle Seahawks, so he takes his business to Las Vegas to visit Jon Gruden and the Raiders.
At the start of that off-season, Wright was linked with a possible move to the Dallas Cowboys. However, things didn’t go through and he has been looking for a new place to call home ever since. Could moving to Sin City be an option?
KJ Wright could very well sign with the Las Vegas Raiders
Wright has spent the last 10 seasons with the Seahawks and has won so many followers thanks to his brilliant play. He was an important part of the 2013 team’s defense, which of course won the Super Bowl. The following year, Wright also started every game for the Seahawks and helped them get back to the big game. Unfortunately, this ended in a dramatic victory for the Patriots.
While people all over the Emerald City were hoping Wright would end his career at Seattle, it looks like he’s moving on elsewhere. Gruden and Co. would be well advised to give him a chance, because the experienced “backer” has proven time and again how reliable he can be.
With things so close to Week 1 too, the Raiders could get Wright to a cheap, conclusive deal. We’ll see if an offer is extended before he leaves town, but it looks like Vegas could be in the driver’s seat for Wright’s services.
