Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones posted a series of tweets on Wednesday to “clarify” what happened between him and his finance department Jessie Moses when he was arrested in Las Vegas.

Jones was arrested at Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino on September 24th and charged with domestic violence and vehicle injury or tampering, a crime. Details of his arrest emerged after the police report was released, as well as an audio recording of Jones being taken into custody.

In the report, Moses claimed that Jones “touched the back of my head and pulled my hair a little, but he didn’t hit me or anything”. She said Jones grabbed her when she tried to “leave the room.” The officers observed “dried blood on her lower lip as if she were in a physical altercation.”

The security guards at Cesars Palace called the police after Moses went to the security desk and asked for a key to their hotel room. The guard noticed that there was blood on her clothes and lip. The report showed that Moses was getting emotional and said she was afraid to return to her room. One of Jones’ daughters asked security, “Can you call the police?”

Jones has denied putting a strain on his finances and did so again on Wednesday. He also stated that during his and Moses’ argument, his daughters slept and neither saw nor heard the argument.

“I love the way people imagine the worst possible situation in their heads and sort of make it factual. I never hit my fiancé and our daughters were woken up after our confrontation. My daughters didn’t see or hear us arguing, ”Jones wrote on Twitter.

“That’s really the only thing I want to clarify .. other than that, I’m looking forward to getting on without alcohol. It’s the first time in my life that I’m really ready to quit. I’m glad to have the support of my fiancé, friends and fans, ”added Jones in a second tweet.
