ROUND 1

The first round was lackluster, both men holding on and complaining more than fighting. The spectators weren’t happy and booed at the end of the first round.

ROUND 2

Paul came out swinging in the second, but Woodley secured himself and was warned. The referee warned her again not to hold too much. Every time Paul landed a shot that Woodley would win, there was no aggression from the former UFC champion. Eventually, with only 10 seconds remaining in front of the bell, Paul was able to fire a barrage of blows.

ROUND 3

Paul comes out swinging again. An accidental elbow from Woodley in the clinch cut Paul open and then Woodley suddenly woke up. A barrage of blows from Woodley backed Paul on the ropes, and the crowd came to life too. After a short clinch, Paul Woodley pounds with strikes. You end the round in a clinch.

ROUND 4

As in the first few laps, Paul came out of his corner with a swing. They clung to each other over and over and then Woodley threw Paul to the ground. The audience and the referee were not happy, but the round continued. Not much action this round, but Paul was still bleeding from the previous cut.

ROUND 5

To no surprise, Woodley held on again. At one point in their sloppy boxing they bumped on the heads. The fans weren’t satisfied with the amateur boxing of two men who are not high-level boxers.

ROUND 6

That lap after lap will be redundant as the sixth round clinch fest and bad boxing was galore. Then, out of nowhere, Paul squeezes Woodley absolutely flat with his right hand and slaps him cold.
