The 100 million pound man

Jack Grealish’s future is finally clear as the Aston Villa star agreed to a record move to Manchester City. The deal was given the legendary “Here we go” status by Transferguru Fabrizio Romano, which usually means that the deal is closed.

According to Romano, Grealish have put a deal on paper that will see him remain a Manchester City player until 2026, with the deal already signed by both clubs. The £ 100 million fee will make Grealish the most expensive Englishman in history, but that could be a title he’ll only hold for a short time when Harry Kane joins Etihad this summer.

Grealish will undergo his medical exam tomorrow (Thursday) before closing the deal and officially joining the Premier League Champions, who will bet on winning the title as favorites.

Aston Villa begins reinvestment

Meanwhile, Aston Villa has already begun reinvesting the record fee they will receive from the Manchester club and today announced the signing of Danny Ings of Southampton for £ 30million.

Ings joins Emi Buendia and Leon Bailey as newcomers through the door at Villa Park, and it’s unclear if Villa has yet to close their summer deal as they target European football.

So, despite Grealish’s sale, Villa appears to be well stocked in the attacking departments and has received an astronomical fee for her star man.

Can you get started this season?
