Israel Adesanya’s message to the middleweight division: ‘You’re f—ked’

Israel Adesanya lost a little of the invincible mood that he had for him when he suffered a decisive defeat against Jan Blachowicz in his failed attempt to become a double winner. Even a solid but unspectacular win over Marvin Vettori could not get the 185 pound division back on its feet. So Adesanya is using social media to send a very clear message to the middleweights.

“PSA: Middleweight … you’re f-ked,” he said wrote on Twitter. “Another metamorphosis happened on my 32nd trip around the sun. The bottom line is that I noticed that Imma has to apply #pressure to everything. But yes, everything you know by 185 gets better or better excuses. Have a good day!”

Adesanya is expected to face Robert Whittaker next and it’s quite an intense rivalry between New Zealand and Australia. Adesanya is already 1-0 against Whittaker after knocking him out in October 2019, but Whittaker has looked pretty good lately …

Any hope of a rematch between the two in Australia or New Zealand is likely just a pipe dream as the Delta variant of COVID-19 is making waves internationally and at home. The UFC has just shattered plans for a September event in London, and there are great doubts that a return to Madison Square Gardens will happen in November, considering UFC President Dana White refuses to be halbaren or really Take anti-COVID measures on his show.

Unless the UFC decides to put Adesanya vs. Whittaker on the proposed NYC UFC 268 card (currently overwritten by Kamaru Usman vs. Colby Covington) in November, we’ll look at a year-end fight date for Adesanya’s return. We can’t wait to see if it lives up to its social media hype.
