Premier League giant Manchester United confirmed Facundo Pellitri’s recent departure on loan on Thursday.

Red Devils spell

Uruguayan starlet Pellitri was part of an influx on the last day of the deadline at Old Trafford last October.

After getting noticed with a series of dazzling appearances with Penarol in his home country, the 19-year-old brought his talent to the red half of Manchester along with Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and his young colleague Amad Diallo.

While the rest of the quartet had a chance to impress over the course of the recently concluded campaign, Pellitri was considered too raw to make his senior United bow.

Again, it came as no surprise when the wide-man was loaned out during the winter window and teamed up with La Liga team Alaves.

And all in all, Pellistri’s stay in Spain turned out to be a success as the youthful talent demonstrated his undeniable skills en route to not-too-shoddy 12 league games.

2. Exit of the red ones

However, after his deal with Alaves came to an end, Pellitri naturally returned to Manchester before impressing in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s pre-season.

And this turned out to be an opportunity the youngster used with both hands, scoring a goal and two assists in the games against Derby County, QPR and Brentford.

As noted above, however, such efforts apparently did not prove sufficient evidence for Solskjaer to be convinced of Pellistri’s credentials as a potential contributor to Old Trafford in the coming season.

In return, the South American was loaned out for the second time in a row today.

His goal? A well-known in the form of Alaves.

As confirmed in statements on the social media platforms of both clubs, Pellitri has left Manchester for the duration of the 2021/22 season in the Mendizorrotza:
