Dante Fabbro signed a $ 4.8 million two-year deal with the Nashville Predators on Thursday. It has an average annual value of $ 2.4 million.
The 23-year-old defender, who was a restricted free agent, avoided a salary negotiation scheduled for August 20.
Fabbro scored 12 points (two goals, 10 assists) in 40 games last season but didn’t make the Stanley Cup First Round when Nashville was eliminated by the Carolina Hurricanes in six games.
Picked by the Predators in the first round (# 17) of the 2016 NHL Draft, Fabbro has scored 24 points (eight goals, 16 assists) in 108 regular season games and assisted in 10 playoff games.
