F2 Logistics came out of a two-year hiatus to crown itself the first ever PNVF Champions League women’s champion with a 25-20, 25-20, 25-22 victory over Chery Tiggo Thursday at Aquamarine Recreation Center in Lipa City.
The Cargo Movers didn’t give up a single set throughout six matches in this tournament held under bio-contained system. With an unbeaten record coming into the last match of the tourney, all they got to do was win two sets to wrap up the title.
But it even delivered the performance that measured up to its hype with Kalei Mau, Ara Galang and Aby Marano carpet-bombing Chery Tiggo throughout.
The Pro Crossovers, who missed the services of Japan V.League star Jaja Santiago, tried to keep the sets close but simply could not match their opponent’s scoring might.
Cherry Tiggo took second place on account of its 3-2 record and better sets quotient over third-placer PetroGazz.
