Everton eye January clear-out, together with trio of stars

Recent reports from France claim that Everton is planning some sort of eviction in January.

Everton’s decline

Everton would of course appoint Rafa Benitez as their new boss later this summer following the departure of Carlo Ancelotti.

The Spaniard made his way back to Merseyside a little upset because of his ties to Everton’s bitter rivals Liverpool.

That anger seemed to quickly fade after Toffees got off to a positive start in the campaign, however.

Everton would lose just one of their first seven league games this season and looked on track to battle for a place in the top-seven / six.

However, after a 1-1 draw with Manchester United in the seventh game week, their form crashed.

Everton’s only league win since beating Norwich 2-0 in September came in week 15 against Arsenal.

Everton have since lost seven and drawn two of their nine league games, down to 14that and far behind the pace of European hunting teams.

Everton plans to sell in January

Now, ahead of the January window, it’s no surprise that Everton is reported to be looking to get rid of several players this winter.

Lucas Digne, Fabian Delph and Cenk Tosun are said to be among these players:

Digne’s name on this list would have seemed strange a few months ago, but the Frenchman has apparently fallen out with Benitez since then:
