Ehlers rallies Jets previous Geese

In Anaheim, Nikolaj Ehlers of the Winnipeg Jets met twice in the third period to level a 2-3 deficit against the Ducks and to make a 4-3 decision on Tuesday evening.

The two goals fell apart 19 seconds.

“Crazy,” said Ehlers. “It just shows that we don’t stop in this room. We continue. We came back and we came back, it’s very exciting for us. “

With 80 seconds remaining in the game, Ehlers tied with the additional attacker.

Connor Hellebuyck made 32 saves for the Jets victory.

“Nik Ehlers led the attack there with that incredible equalizer and then just a few more shrapnel in the net,” said Andrew Copp (goal) of the Jets. “It definitely feels like we’ve stolen two points, but for teams like us it is important to win such victories.”

The winner came with 61 seconds to go and distracted a Ducks defender.

“For 58 minutes it was probably the best game we’ve ever played, but the game lasts 60 minutes,” said Anaheim head coach Dallas Eakins. “So unacceptable.”

Anaheim’s Trevor Zegras and Sonny Milano had lost one goal and two points each.

“You just don’t see it, then it happens and you lose the game,” said Winnipeg head coach Paul Maurice. “It is painful.”

Evgeny Svechnikov scored in the second goal, giving the Jets a 1-0 lead.

Josh Manson scored for the Ducks too.

“I think we didn’t do much last year,” said Zegras. “We’ve had a couple of games this year that were tied, or we’re down by one and we’re trying to keep that lead. It’s just something we have to learn. “

John Gibson made 21 saves in defeat.
