Sunday night proved to be unforgettable for Arsenal after the Gunners were killed by capital rivals Chelsea.
Abraham brings winners
Mikel Arteta’s men recently started their preparations for the new season.
The North Londoners will of course have a much more fertile season in their sights in 2021/22 after finishing a disappointing 8th place in the Premier League last time around.
However, their efforts to build up some momentum with a second consecutive win ultimately failed that evening.
An extremely entertaining Derby showdown in the Emirates, with the guests coming out of Chelsea after a 2-1 win on the right.
Kai Havertz opened the game within half an hour before returning Granit brought Xhaka Arsenal to level with a rare header equalizer 20 minutes from time.

A common defensive mistake by Hector Bellerin, however, opened the door for Thomas Tuchel’s Blues to regain the advantage just three minutes later, with Arsenal-linked Tammy Abraham making no mistake with his following finish.
Chelsea, on the other hand, held out for a hard-fought win.
However, the score in North London could have looked very different when the final whistle sounded, and perhaps should have looked very different.
This is because Arsenal refused some equalization late when Joe Willock’s finish defeated Kepa Arrizabalaga simply because goal-line technology was lacking in the Emirates, which ultimately cost the hosts a lot of money.

His side’s eventual defeat, however, was far from the only worry for Mikel Arteta on Sunday night.
Towards the end of the first half, Arsenal also suffered a personal blow when Thomas Partey hobbled away with what appeared to be an ankle problem.
And if the first signs speak for it, the Gunners could therefore do without the services of their midfield star for a long time.
According to leading physiotherapist and sports scientist Dr. Rajpal Brar point out photos from the incident in which Partey filmed his latest injury, indicating a potential high ankle sprain.
Such a diagnosis would in turn culminate in a four to six week break on the sidelines:
Found the specific injury mechanism for Partey (see picture).
Is this typically indicative of a “high ankle sprain”? also known as a syndesmotic tear. These usually come with a 4-6 week return period if there is a Grade 1 violation. The latest example is Harry Maguire. pic.twitter.com/syae1CWCjk
